Gaming World #1 Sims 4 Toddler Stuff Pack and Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack

Sims 4 has been hinting around about a new stuff pack called the Toddler Stuff Pack. Not a lot of people seemed too ecstatic about it but you can't skip toddlers as they are a stage of life. In this stuff pack you will be able to have new toddler toys and playground equipment. This pack is based on toddlers being outdoors.
The newest feature that comes with this pack is that the caregivers of the toddlers can organize a social event called toddler play dates. So now your toddlers have a chance to play with other sims. There is a new play set that comes with interactions when the toddlers use their imagination. You get to see all that goes through their heads while they are playing. Sometimes I wish that could happen in real life. I mean who wouldn't want to see what goes on in a kids head.

Now the little drawings in this picture is actually a toddler's imagination of them playing with the steering wheel and they are playing pirates with their caretaker.
The caretakers can play with the toddlers and help them down the little slide. This jungle gym comes in separate parts. You don't need to have them all together. On the other side which you don't see is actually a ball pit where toddlers can jump in it. Only two toddlers at a time can jump in it and play around. A lot of this information comes from the live stream that the Sims did after announcing the pack release date. Now simsvip did upload that live stream.

On August 15, 2017 Sims wrote a blog post about the toddler stuff pack. This is just some of the stuff that they wrote:

"Since the addition of toddlers in The Sims 4 at the beginning of this year, we have seen many Sims expand their families and open their homes to an assortment of unique and adorable little tykes. Now, with The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff Pack, your Sims tots will get some extra ways to express themselves as they continue to develop their personalities, interests, and friendships.

The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff Pack provides a variety of adorable new outfits for you to enjoy. Whether dressed as cute little foxes, or sprightly fairies, your tot's imagination will run wild. But don't worry, clothing isn't just about play time. Your fashion-focused toddlers will enjoy a more stylish ensemble to fit their tastes, alongside new hair styles as well."

               To read more Click Here

The Toddler Stuff Pack comes out on August 24, 2017. If you are new to the Sims 4 you will need to buy the base game first before buying this stuff pack. All stuff packs are $9.99. You can buy it in stores, through origin, or on thesims.com

The biggest news that all of the simmers (what people call sims players) have been waiting for is finally here! The Sims 4 is getting pets! Now for a while there have been some speculations about pets coming to the Sims 4 for a long time now. One online store said that pets will eventually be released. Now for a long time sims never confirmed it and all that website of releasing were already released stuff plus some added stuff. On Solar Eclipse day The Sims has announced that the Sims 4 is getting pets with the new expansion pack called  Cats & Dogs.
This Expansion Pack comes with Cats & Dogs but you can create your own pet or adopt a pet. You can also become a vet and open up your own clinic. There is a new world that comes with this pack called Brindleton Bay. At Gamescom in Germany the creators of the Sims showed people a sneak peak at the create a pet. You will not only get to create your pet but you can also paint on your pet with a color wheel.

Yes you can also dress up your pets and you can dress like your pets. Your pets will also have emotions and different stuff similar to your sims. You can not control your pet like your sim but you can interact with it and feed it just like real life.

With an expansion pack you get a lot more than just build items and create a sim items. You also get a new world, build items, and more stuff to expand the game play.

This is what the Sims wrote on their blog "We’ve been working on this expansion pack for a very long time, and my handlers had to restrain me so I wouldn’t spill all the beans. But, I’m going to spill some beans...

Create A Pet has returned, and it’s more powerful than ever. Search for a massive amount of cat and dog breeds, or mix any two breeds with just a few clicks to create the perfect mutt. But what about painting?! Whether you’re adding a few spots, adding a spot to the nose, or using Stencils to paint more complicated patterns, customizing your pets has never been simpler! Oh, and we have costumes for cats and dogs. (Which yes, means your dog can go swimming while dressed as a shark.)"

The creators sure did show a lot in a 1:37 mins trailer!

Interview with Brian Bird (Producer, creator, writer, and more for When Calls the Heart)

Since When Calls the Heart first aired on Hallmark Channel on January 11th, 2014 fans of the show have been a big support of the show and its ratings only prove that. Since season 1 the ratings have been getting better and better. The fans of the show called themselves the Hearties. If you don't know what a heartie is just go to www.heartieswcth.com to find out. The fans have showed up in a big way. There are almost 50k members of a closed group on facebook called Fans of Hallmark's When Calls the Heart. Almost every year since a new season has be renewed the Hearties along with Brian Bird have created this fan convention called Hearties Family Reunion which is where the fans get to visit the set of the show and meet the cast and crew of the show. The woman Janette Oke who really started it all has been there as well. This is a big event that only happens once a year if the show gets renewed after a season that airs is over. When Calls the Heart is currently airing is fourth season on Sundays at 8/9c on Hallmark Channel.

I asked these following questions about season 4:

 1. Will we see more of the other characters from season 1?

Because the town has changed so much from Season 1, and there are so many new citizens, we don’t really feature any of the original characters from Season 1, except our regular cast members.  This is one of the challenges of filming a TV series in a film-friendly place like Vancouver.  The good news is there are lots of great actors to choose from.  The bad news is there are always dozens of other movies and TV shows are get to choose also, so the competition for talent is very heavy.  Actors love playing characters on our show, but they also need to work and when other shows and movies can offer them more episodes, we understand they need to provide for their families.  We also have a challenge with our Hope Valley kids from season to season.  Because we only film 4-5 months out of the year, sometimes our child actors really grow up fast, so it makes it hard to bring all the same kids back year after year.

2.  Will we ever find out why pastor Frank wanted a door on the pulpit?

At our Hearties Family Reunion, Mark Humphrey speculated about what he believed should be in the secret compartment:  First, a still-loaded revolver his Father was loading when he was killed long ago. Second, a photo of his Mother who died when his Father died.  And third, the Bible from his stay at Granville Penitentiary with the St. Francis prayer he inscribed on the back.  Now this is what Mark says… the writers are saying anything!

3.  We know Mayor Gowen has done bad things… will his secrets ever come out?

Well, as Pastor Frank says in Season 4, Episode 3… “The problem with sin is that it rarely stays private” – I think it’s safe to say Mayor Gowen’s sins will find him out.  We are already seeing that happen with the investigation into the possibility that he swindled money from the town.  Cover ups rarely work, as we have seen down through history, and they won’t work in Hope Valley if I have anything to say about it!

4.  We know Elizabeth caught the bouquet.  Will she finally get married?

You don’t really think I can fully answer that question, do you?  Look, we know what the Hearties seem to want more than anything for “When Calls the Heart.”  And we hope to grant the desires of their collective hearts, but that doesn’t mean that we have to grant them exactly the way Hearties hope.  I learned long ago that what I want out of life is not always what I need most.  So just because Hearties think they want a wedding doesn’t mean that will make them happiest.  I’ll leave the answer right there.

5. We all know Elizabeth is a terrible cook but getting better, who really cooks the food?

None of our actors actually cook any of the food that is depicted in the episodes.  There’s just no time for them to do that with all that they have to prepare for in their acting responsibilities.  Our fine Prop Department team creates all the “picture food” that our actors consume in scenes… from all the full plates for Abigail’s customers… to Elizabeth’s experiments to try out on Jack.  One tip:  if anybody ever offers you movie food… just say “no.”  Your intestines will thank me.  It is usually very bland, very cold and very stale by the end of filming a scene.  The fact that our actors seem to “enjoy” it on camera is a tribute to their fine acting skills.

6.  What is Rosemary real job besides being an actress?

In season 4, you’re going to get your answer to that question.  Besides being an actress and gossip columnist, wife of an entrepreneur and everybody’s favorite nosey body, Rosemary will get to try her hand at helping in the cafĂ© kitchen and designing haute couture in Hope Valley.  She may even stick her nose into some other businesses, too.

7.  Will there ever be a dress shop that a widow opens up?

The short answer is… if you haven’t seen Season 4, Episode 3 yet… what are you waiting for?

8.  Will we ever see insides of the buildings we only see from the outside?

Every season, we try to build out the interior sets of more of the buildings in Hope Valley.   This adds to the locations we can shoot in and makes the town feel more real and vibrant.  This season, we are adding the Railroad Office and Dottie’s Dress Shop (see the answer above) and maybe a few others, which I won’t spoil.  There are now only a handful of storefronts for which we haven’t yet finished the interiors.  If Hearties can help bring us back for Season 5, maybe well put in a movie theater!

9.   Without giving too much away about season 4 what do you think will be the biggest challenge for Hope Valley?

I would say the biggest challenge for Hope Valley (and for Hearties) is the unpredictability of life’s circumstances.  Sometimes people and events let us down.  Sometimes God allows us to go through circumstances that are meant for our benefit, but very difficult to see past.  And other times, even tiny events lead us to incredible personal breakthroughs we never thought we’d experience. How’s that for mysterious and vague and spoiler-free?

I want to thank Brian Bird for so generously willing to answer these questions for the Hearties.

Here and There #5

Casting Crowns new album The Very Next Thing came out September 16, 2016 and it debuts at number one on the christian charts. This is Casting Crowns first album since Mark Hall has been cancer free which was not that long ago. He does talk about the songs and what it was like when he got the news that he had cancer. He talks with billboard about the music he has written and about his cancer.

Yet, in time, he found a new message to address with his students and it led to new songs. "We are always looking for what is off in the distance and God has placed you right where you are, to bloom where you are planted, to love the people around you and point to the people around you to the God that you know," he says, encouraging people to just do the very next thing God is calling them to do. "People that won't go to church, people that probably won't go buy a Christian record, they're not going to click on YouTube and watch a bunch of preachers, but they'll sit next to you in class. They'll ride with you to work or they'll sit at your table during your lunch hour and God has planted you there -- not so that you can get a better job one day -- it's so you can know Him and make Him known right where you are. That's what I've been trying to pour into my students and pour into people and remind myself is that [accomplishing] big things for God is really just reaching the person sitting next to you right now."

The Very Next Thing is the first Casting Crowns record since Hall's battle with cancer. During a routine trip to the doctor to deal with acid reflux, Hall's doctor decided to do some scans and found a tumor on his kidney that turned out to be cancerous. He admits the diagnosis caught him by surprise. He was attending a funeral when he got a text from his doctor asking him to call. "When I read that, it was just that feeling you get when you look up and see the blue lights in your rearview mirror," says Hall, a married father of four, who worried about breaking the news to his kids. "It stopped me. Everything around me stopped and in that very moment all I could think was, 'This is about to happen. This is about to happen to me. I'm the youth pastor. I'm the guy that helps everyone else get through their stuff. I'm the encourager. I don't know how to do this part.'"

The latest news for Backstreet Boys is that they will be in vegas in March to July 2017 it will consist of 18 dates. The show will be called Larger Than Life which is a song that is dedicated to their fans from the millennium album. Now if you have ever been to one of their shows you will know that its fantastic but when you see them in vegas it will be even better.

Backstreet Boys discuss their residency in Vegas with Billboard

If you ever wanted to know about their song I want it That away and if it ever made sense to you Backstreet Boys says that it doesn't...hmm never really thought about it until now. I guess it makes sense to me but some a long the way it doesn't. Here is what they had to say about the song.

“Well it’s funny, we actually were OK with the lyrics when we heard it first,” Carter told HuffPost. “And then the president of JIVE records at that time ― I mean he’s a genius ― but he and some of the A&R people wanted to change the lyrics.”
“To make the song make more sense,” Richardson chimed in.
The Backstreet Boys were releasing the album with JIVE and so the label having a problem with the nonsense lyrics could have derailed the single.
“We hired some really well known producers at the time to redo the song,” Carter continued. “So, there was another version of the song out there and then we listened to it back. Then, we as a group voted on it and said, “No.”
The legend ends here. No more speculation into how the band could not realize what they were doing.

Another interview with Brian Bird (Creator, Writer, and Producer of When Calls the Heart)

It's been two years since Hallmark Channel's original series When Calls the Heart first aired on January 11, 2014. It only seems like it was yesterday. In season one we see that Elizabeth is this new teacher who comes to work in this coal mining town where most of the kids that she has to teach lost their fathers. She has to learn different things that she is not used to since she is from a rich family. Elizabeth learns to adjust and really gets to know the people in town while falling in love. In season 2 we get to see her really come into her own and see where she came from and how her Mountie lover Jack Thornton adjust to her home life as he is not familiar with it all. Plus Coal Valley gets a new name called Hope Valley since there is no mining anymore.
If you are passionate fan of the show you are called a heartie. We are the reason When Calls the Heart has been going on for two years already.  Season three premiere aired on December 26, 2015 as a movie called New Year's Wish which is all about celebrating new years and what will bring for the people of Hope Valley. I interviewed Brian Bird about season 1 and season 2 but now I got another chance to interview him about season 3.

1. The Hearties are so glad to have a season three. How did you go about finding a train for Hope Valley?

It’s actually a period (vintage) train from the late 1800s that is based about five miles away from the Jamestown Movie Ranch where our Hope Valley set is located. We knew it was there in the first season, but the story-telling never required it.  We are hoping to film there again in future seasons if, Lord willing, the Heartie-Nation helps us achieve them!

2. Which character this season will surprise us the most?

I think it’s safe to say that all of the main characters, including Jack,
Elizabeth, Abigail and Bill Avery – which we clearly realize most When Calls the Heart fans love – will be very “active” in all episodes in season three.  I think the most surprising character, however, will be Pastor Frank Hogan.

3. Through out season three will we see more of Hope Valley than any other seasons before?

Well, it would be hard to see more of Hope Valley then we saw in Season 1 considering that we filmed all 12 episodes there.   However, I think the Hearties will be very pleased with just how much time and story-telling take place in Hope Valley in Season 3.  In fact, all 10 episodes are based there.

4. In season 2 Lee said he would build Rosemary a theater. Will we ever get to see the theater?

Yes, we will see Rosemary’s theater, but it won’t exactly be the theater Rosemary had in mind.  If I were to tell you anything more about it, though, the Spoiler Police would roll up on me.

5. Will we ever see Elizabeth owning her own home?

I would have to plead the 5th Amendment on this particular question on the grounds that I might incriminate myself. Let me put it this way, Elizabeth, technically, will not own her own home.

6. I hear that Lori Loughlin is one of the producers on the show. Has she always been one for the show?

Lori joined our team of producers in season two. She has so much experience in television and film that it was a no-brainer for us to have her involved in the show on a higher level. She’s tremendously gifted in her production skills, but she is also a wonderful story-teller in her own right. I suppose working on a thousand episodes of TV or so will do that for you.

7. We see the story line for the orphan boy and his sister. How did that storyline come about?

Actually it’s good timing for you to ask. Lori Loughlin pitched us that storyline at the end of Season 1, and while it didn’t fit Season 2’s story-arcs, we were thrilled to be able to build it in Season 3.

8. Will we see any Hearties as the extras?

In Season 3, there were only a small handful of Hearties as extras.  The reason for that are the requests for on-set visits quadrupled after Season 2, and there was just no way to accommodate them all, so we had to begin saying no to most of the requests.  However, it was that demand which got us thinking about hosting the Hearties Family Reunion in January, and that event satisfied a lot of the Hearties who wanted to visit Hope Valley and spend some time with our actors and visiting our sets.

9. Will we see more of the styles from season 1 this season?

I think in Season 3 the audience will see a good hybrid between both the first two seasons.  Because we listened to the audience and decided to set most of the story-telling back in Hope Valley in Season 3, I think the fans will also be happy with the evolution of the hairstyles and makeup.  While we are not going back to the dirt and coal dust of Season 1, I think there is a bit more modesty in Hope Valley these days.

10. I have read many comments in the past about some of the hearties not being Christian and them thinking this show is for Christians because of some bible references. Can you comment on that?

It’s a fair question.  I think the best way I can answer that is that, as a Christian myself, I’m not interested in pounding people over the head with my beliefs.  But I do believe there are many great lessons and virtues out of the Bible that people of all faiths can, and do benefit from.  In fact, most of the great virtues of Western Civilization are right out of the Bible, such as honesty, integrity, compassion, courage, commitment, standing up for what’s right and against what’s wrong.  And most faiths adhere to some version of “the golden rule,” so my hope for WCTH is that it appeals to all people who are seeking God.  And I just think it’s good for our culture to have an alternative to zombies, vampires, werewolves, crystal meth dealers and dead body shows on TV 24 hours a day.  Hope and faith and family are good thing.

11. Has any fan come up to you and said I am learning from the show or the advice from the show helped me?

Yes, in fact, I get notes and messages every week from Hearties and fans who don’t know they are Hearties yet, testifying about how much the show means to them.  How it has given them hope, or helped them overcome depression, or comforted them after the loss of a loved one, or even given them a family activity they can now do together (watching TV as a family) that doesn’t exist anywhere on the dial.  It’s very moving and humbling for us to know this is happening.

12. In a video with Dan and Erin they said you are the sweetest person on set.  Who do you think is the sweetest on set?

That puts me in a very difficult position because I love all of these cast-and crew-members for many and various reasons.  I think the best way to answer this question is that all of them live out one or more of the attributes we find in “the love chapter,” 1 Corinthians 13, which you may know we quoted in the “New Years’ Wish” two-hour special:  “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.”

I want to once again thank Brian Bird for allowing me to interview him and for giving us a look into season 3.

More with Brian Bird (producer of When Calls the Heart on Hallmark Channel)

Last year I got the wonderful chance to interview the producer of Hallmark Channel's When Calls the Heart. Brian Bird is not only the producer but he is the co-creator of the show. The show is on its second season and the fans A.KA. #Hearties are pleaing for a third season.
This show is about Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coal mining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy father has doomed the lawman's career by insisting he be assigned in town to protect the shipping magnate’s daughter. Living in a 19th-century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west on her own. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads.
In the second season we see where we left off with the mining investigation and if the mining company will loose also to see if Mr. Gowen will loose. We also see what happens with Elizabeth Thatcher the school teacher and Jack Thornton  the Constible. After the widows will the case over the mining company the town gets a new name called "Hope Valley." When Calls the Heart just ended its second season and hopes for a third season. I myself, is a proud Heartie and want a season 3.

Here is my interview with Brian Bird to give you the latest details about season 2!

1. How long did it take to change the building up a bit?

When we first found the Jamestown Movie Ranch before Season 1, we realized the location was perfect for us.  It had 200 acres including lakes, ponds, stands of trees.  And the western town was about half-finished at that point.  We decided to fill in some of the spaces and put an end on of the main street where Gowen’s office now exists.   We also converted the existing church building to Ned Yost’s mercantile.  Then in Season 2, we decided to do even more to dress up the town, including brighter paint, signs, new facades.  And of course, the new church.

2. How long did it take to build the school/church?

It took about a month to get it done.  We decided to use one of our 3 row houses as the starting point, so we moved it over to where the church now stands, adjusted the roof line, and recycled the steeple that we had saved from Season 1’s revamping of the mercantile.

3. What was the process like for this season compared to last season?

The process of producing a TV show is always changing, but in a weird way always the same.  Procedures are similar, but when you’re doing brand new stories each week, you have to adjust, find or build new locations, cast guest stars, make props, etc.  It’s an adventure and learning curve each time.

4. I know that you have said a soundtrack for the season will come out but do you have an idea as to when it will come out?

We’re pretty determined that if we get a Season 3, we will put one out.  It doesn’t sound like an expensive proposition, but it is.  You can’t just repurpose the music cues in the episode.  It all has to be reproduced and edited into longer suites because movie and TV music cues are usually pretty short, less than a minute.

5. Last season was more serious than this season, do you think this show could become a dramedy like comedy and drama at the same time?

It will never be a “dramedy” if I have anything to say about it.  But all good dramas have comedic elements and all good comedies have dramatic elements if they are done well.   Our show is an entertainment show first and foremost, and we want to just tell good stories that inspire and lift people up and give them hope.  If they can laugh along the way, that’s even better.

6. How come hallmark has decided to make some episodes 2 hours and some 1 hour?

Usually these decisions are made by programmers who are looking for ways to make the show “promotable.”  The two-hour episodes were all originally filmed as one-hour episodes, but because the storylines are all connected and continuing, it’s easy to combine two episodes into one.  Most shows have some sort of “event” promotion.  That’s why season premieres and season finales are often set up as special two-hour events.  If you watch “Downton Abbey,” they do the same thing.

7. Who came up with the name Hope Valley as the new name of the town?

When we decided the have the court case close down the coal mine and give the widows settlements, we realized that there would be no big industry in the town anymore.  That’s when we decided to introduce Lee Coulter and his dream of a sawmill to replace all those jobs.  But if there’s no coal mine, why would the town continue to be called “Coal Valley.”  We talked about a lot of different alternative names, including “Silver Springs,” which we almost went with.  But that makes no sense either because it’s not a silver mining town.  That’s when we asked the question, “What does this town do better than anything?”  The answer was obvious.  It’s a place of hope.

8. I know the series is not based on bible teachings but when I heard a bible saying I think oh Brian Bird must of wrote that. Are you the one who writes those?

All shows have writing staffs, and rarely does anybody take credit for any one line of dialogue.  It happens sometimes by committee because scripts are rewritten several times before the actors see them or they go into production.  And sometimes the original writer of an episode will lay down a great line, which stick all the way through production.  I have written some of the memorable lines, but many come just organically in the process.

9. When you finish one season and then find out you are coming back for another season what happens with the buildings and props and stuff?

All of the props and wardrobe (that we own) are put into storage at Jamestown in the hopes that we will be coming back for another season, and others that we don’t own are returned to the rental houses.  If and when the show finishes, the props and wardrobe that we’ve accumulated will be auctioned off or sold to rental houses that want them.

10. How is it to have the #Hearties on set while filming?

Not hard at all.  A complete pleasure.  But the challenge is how to accommodate all the Hearties who want to visit.  We just can’t have them all at once, so it requires some planning and logistics to bring them to set in small groups.  If we get Season 3, I know the demand will even be higher.  We will do our best to accommodate as many as we can, but we probably will have to institute a first-come/first-serve process.

11. Was it easy or hard to find these new characters for season 2?

When you say “characters,” it’s part of the writing process of inventing the show and the fictional characters.  If you mean the actors who play those parts, it’s always a challenge to find good actors to step into those shoes, especially in Vancouver, because there are always dozens of productions, whether TV shows or movies, filming at the same time in Vancouver.  So the competition for the best actors is always fierce.  The good news is that most actors get so fed up shooting action or horror films/shows that they love to get involved in family programming.  They want their own children to be able to watch them, and most programs are too edgy even for their kids.

12. I really like Elizabeth's house. How did you go about finding the house?

We have locations department that is in charge of finding the locations we need.  When we knew we were going to feature the Thatcher manor in Hamilton, we had to find a mansion, along with other exterior locations that would “sell” downtown Hamilton.  The last time we featured the Thatcher estate was actually in the original two-hour movie pilot for the show.  We actually filmed those scenes in the Presidential Palace in Bucharest, Romania.

13. Who does the house belong to?

It’s a turn-of-the-century heritage house and museum in downtown Vancouver called  “Hycroft Manor.”  It now houses the University Women’s Club.  Here’s a link for people that want to visit.  http://www.uwcvancouver.ca

14.  What was the best thing about this season?

The best thing to me about anything I’m involved in is the words and the people, whether they be actors or crew members or fans.  In this case, the Hearties are a big part of how much we enjoy making this show.

I want to thank Brian Bird for giving us #Hearties a look into season 2.
